Headline inflation rate increased to 3.6% in October 2018 up from 2.9% in September 2018. Inflation rate fell marginally or remained unchanged for several group indices and increased for Housin, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels (3.4% to 3.5%), Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (0.8% to 1.1%) and Transport (7.3% to 11%). The increase in inflation largely reflect the rise in retail prices for petrol and diesel by P0.65 and P0.73 respectively. However, inflation does not reflect the November 2018 fuel price adjustments.    The trimmed mean measure of core inflation increased from 2.9% to 3.7%, while inflation excluding administered prices remained unchanged at 1.6%.
